Ebay: Haven't sold for awhile, what would fees

be on something priced $2195 (and, let's say it is a major seller with all the discounts one of them would get)?

Just trying to figure out the thoughts behind a counter-offer, off ebay, on the same thing they have on their website (and, for the purists, the initial contact was through their website and not on ebay....afterwards, I noticed they had the same coin listed there as well....and the price was the same for both instances).

When I was selling, I was small potatoes and just estimated 10% for ebay fees and paypal fees, but I know large sellers (top rated plus), etc etc etc, get additional discounts and I don't like to assume too much.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

eBay Fees would be 4.8% (6% less 20% discount) and PayPal fees are probably 2.2%.

    Thanks.
I found an online calculator for it but wasn't sure how accurate it may be.
Your number came out to the same it did. Appreciate that, Paul.

Interesting that, in my initial contact with them, outside ebay completely, they said the "best" price they could do was taking $70 off.
On ebay, they offer free shipping, take paypal, AND get hit for that 4.8% (~$105).

Yes, a coin sold with a store subscription is 6% with a cap of $250, and top rated sellers get 20% off that.
Plus you have to figure in the monthly store subscription fee which can range from $16 to $180 per month based on the level.

PayPal fees just went up today to 2.9%. There are no more discounts for merchants and everyone pays the same rate.

David Lawrence is a good place for comparison. They list the same coins on their own site and on eBay.
I’ve seen coins they have listed on eBay and then find them on their site cheaper with the difference usually being the eBay fees.
They always seem to accept reasonable offers, or counter offer if it is close.
