Can anyone here help me find a price guide for this 1940 S/S nickel ?

    Going to be tough to put a price on it. If S over S south is the rpm 1, then it's one of the new varieties in the C/P's guide. That will be your only hope for an increased value.

    That's the new entry in the CPG, FS-501. Value? Not real sure since it is not FS. Being a non-FS hurts the value A LOT. Since it's not yet a Registry requirement I'd imagine it would sell for $75-$100. I have a 66FS and another board member also owns a 66FS so FS examples are out there waiting to hit the market!

    What's on the building? Otherwise, looks like a nice strike with a hint of horseshoe on reverse in field. But than again, is there slight flatness on the ear lobe?

    The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

    I agree with Manorcourtman. There will be some extra value being in CPG, but now you need to add the extra cost of attribution, if/when our Host opts to add this to the Complete Variety Sets.

    Looks like a 66+, maybe a 67. Take my word for it. I'm an expert.
