Vintage Canadian Football Cards

While at a card show today, I stumbled upon a large lot of older Canadian Football cards from various years. They were all in terrific shape (Near Mint+ IMO). I had no idea these even existed. Cards from 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1963, 1968, and 1970 were all included.

After doing a few quick eBay searches, I couldn't find many examples of these cards out there. My question is this...Since these cards appear to be in high grade, would it be worth it to send these cards for grading? I have no idea what kind of value or scarcity I'm dealing with here.

Any vintage football collectors out there that could help me out? Thanks!

If you have $$$ to burn, by all means, send them in for grading. If you are looking to flip and turn a profit, forget it. Not much demand for these, comparable to Topps from the same years. CFL was looked upon as a place to play for players who weren't up to NFL snuff. Not sure if there even were any name players in the CFL back then. TIP: Think of Goudey vs. its Canadian counterpart, World Wide Gum from the 30's, for an idea of value / demand.

1968 OPc is in high demand especially in high grade. If you buy one thing that is what you should buy.

I collect CFL cards.

They are in relatively low demand.

Usually condition is quite low.

PM me and tell me what u have I could be interested.

There are no CFL players that cross over into the NFL in those years except Joe Kapp
he is a cfl hofer and one of the better cards to have RC is 1960 topps cfl.

Although not a hofer in either league the 71 Joe Theisman is relatively popular.

$500 for an EX-MT, ungraded 1958 OPC Set. Not too shabby for only 88 cards.

The 58 Topps CFL cards in particular are sharp. I bought several of those and I'm confident that if graded there are some psa 8's in there for sure.

CFL cards are becoming scarce, 1970's and under are hard to find and most of the time when you do they are in bad shape...yes, you should get them....

You will easily trade them for sure....

I got the to sets this year, they should be graded, all cards are fresh out of packs, the problem is fees for grading, if it wasn't from that I would of send these babies long time ago....

Love that Theisman. I have never seen one in person before.
