Review of the 2015 Coin and Cronicles Set JFK (AX3)

I just received my set today; I bought it to go along with other Kennedy items I've purchased over the years. While the one dollar reverse proof coin is well executed, the one ounce medal is flat. I like collecting medals because they are usually struck in high relief. This one is the same size as an SAE and has about the same level of relief. All I can say is, what a disappointment! After all the nice half dollars they produced, the medal is just ugly in comparison.

I did not jump on the JFK set, but are the Truman and Ike Medals struck in high(er) relief? image

I did jump on the JFK set, but didn't open my box yet and I have the same question.

    Who can enlighten us?
  • Mine does not seem to be high relief at all, matter of fact I think it's more of a low relief. Kris
