Why does a coin not meet reserve, then show up in CoinFacts with a price realized?

Was cruising CoinFacts today and clicked on a coin, taking me to HA and the coin didn't meet reserve.

I'm assuming the reserve price was the price in CoinFacts.

Is this a common occurrence??

I've seen it happen in the PCGS Auction Prices Realized database.
It's essentially a data entry error in translating the auction results.
I don't know how frequently it occurs, in terms of percent of unsold coins that show up with a price.
I have seen it happen on 2-3 coins when researching pedigrees. But I didn't look at the population of unsold coins.

I'm not an expert in coins,but I attend auctions probably more than I should.Sometimes the owner will lift a reserve if they're happy with the last bid so even though the reserve wasn't reached the item still sold.Another possible,less likely,reason is the owner will sell the item after the item fails to meet the reserve to someone at the auction and is included in the final sales report so the auction company gets their cut.

I was kinda wondering that myself. I saw one of my coins that I won at auction with the buy it now instead of my best offer...which was accepted.
