Hi folks,
I am new to this board and need some advice on how to upload a picture of a coin on the board. Do you have to use a certain program like photobucket? I've collected coins since I was a paperboy in the 1960's. My main interest is Carson City coinage.
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the boards. I see we have similar interests, in coins and dogs, at least it appears so. I hope the nice looking boxer is your pal and not a nemesis from one of your routes! I have owned 2 boxers - the craziest, most happy-go-lucky breed on earth!

it's free and a simple way to use
I do like dogs too. Have 2 of them myself. On my route I find that carrying dog bones (generic milk bones) can make me a lot of friends.
Is photobucket the only way to upload pics here?
Welcome to the CU forums. Images can be uploaded, copy/paste , or drag/drop depending on your setup.
Photobucket was the way to post, just click the photo icon now and add the photo
No. You can upload from your hard drive too if you have the pics there. Unless you have a paid PB account they don't care to have you post their hosted pics on message boards.
I just DRAG the image....kicking and screaming... into the body of the post while I am composing it.
The software images it for me.
These forums have changed since this thread was originally posted in 2015. But then as now, you can upload directly to the site. Refer to the more recent 2019 replies.
Unfortunately, Photobucket has drastically changed, too- and much for the worse in their case.
Sadly, they are utter garbage now.
