Great mail day today as this one just arrived. I tend to usually stick with just baseball but then this one became available and so I picked it up.
I also want to give a BIG shot-out to one of my pals, Matt Miller who I obtained this from. I have gotten to know Matt on a personal level for about two years now and he is always a pleasure to talk to and deal with. Incredibly knowledgeable/insightful about the hobby and is always helpful on giving me advice when asked. He has owned some of the nicest cards I have ever seen in this hobby and for me to own something from his PC is awesome. He has had a real impact on the way I collect cards today as oppose to when I first began collecting again in the summer of 11.
Thanks again Matt.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I love that card, I own 9 BGS graded ones.
The first card my mother ever purchased for me was an 87-88 Jordan, ungraded, for $55. I still have the card to this day.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
One thing that I really liked about this card was that it is the 2nd year card of probably the greatest basketball player ever and maybe even the most recognizable athlete alive today. The 86 issue in a 10 has jumped from about a $10,000 card to now a 16,500 easily which means that I will never own one I'm sure. Even the 9's have jumped from 2k to now about $3,300 on average in the last two. This card in a 10 is still even less that the 86 release in a 9 but make no mistake, this card has jumped in price over $1k in just the last 8 months alone and I see huge potential in this one as the 86 has officially become too pricey for pretty much everyone else who wanted it in a 10. The pop on the 86's in a 10 is around 220 and yet for the 87 it's about half that number which just means that supply and demand is in high gear which could be the reason for the recent price jump.
Congratulations on your pickup from Matt - a good guy.
