1806 B-2 R-2 Draped Bust Quarter VLDS - AG/G $425

Very late die stage example of this die marriage showing heavy rim cuds on the reverse. This die marriage is notorious for being weakly struck on one side of the coin due to improper die alignment...Very neat coin!




1818/5 B-1 R-3 Large Size Capped Bust Quarter EDS - AU Details SOLD

A higher grade example of the rare early die stage of the 1818 over 1815 over date. Although lighly cleaned sometime in the past, the coin has tremendous details.





1818/5 B-1 R-3 Large Size Capped Bust Quarter MDS - F-12 - SOLD

A nice no problem example of the 1818 over 1815 over date. Pleasing grey with a circulated cameo look.




1819 B-1 Large 9 R-5 Large Size Capped Bust Quarter EDS - EF+ - $1100

A tough die marriage...This is the more scarce early die stage, before all of the obverse and reverse die cracks occurred. A higher grade example that likely had an old soap and water cleaning in the past. Still a great coin to fill that hole!




1825 B-1 R-5 Capped Bust Quarter - VF+ Details - $1725.00


An example of the very rare "1825/2" die marriage (actually 5/4/2). Nice periphrial album toning, however the coin was cleaned at one time. Still, a nice and affordable example of this tough die marriage...




1828 B-4 Large Size Bust Quarter VF-XF - $1100.00

Nice original coin showing a Mint made planchet error above the date. Many B-4's show planchet errors, as the planchet stock used had many impurities.




1834 B-5 R-5 Reduced Size Bust Quarter - VF Details - PCGS -$225.00

Nice example of this rare die marriage, but has been graded as genuine due to scratches on the reverse..
These were done in an attempt to remove some black gunk around UNITED and the left wing. However, looking closely, it seems that the marks are only within the gunk and after a good soaking in acetone to remove the verdigris, might remove the evidence of this work.

1811 O-104a Capped Bust Half Dollar - EF-40 - Early Date! SOLD

Large 8, nice original coin.




1818 O-104a Capped Bust Half Dollar - EF-40 - $255.00
Small 8, Late Die State with heavy obverse die cracks.




1818 O-115a R-4+ Capped Bust Half Dollar - EF-40 - $625.00

Late Die State with heavy obverse die cracks. A tough R-4+ to R-5 die marriage!




Houck's Panacea Counterstamp - 1830 O-113 Half Dollar - High Grade! - $2150.00

Well Known Hard Times (1834-1838) Counterstamp "HOUCK'S / PANACEA / BALTIMORE", not only stamped, but double stamped on an 1830 bust half dollar, which they are most commonly found on. However, the host coin is a nice higher grade example, which is not common.





1831 O-108 Capped bust Half Dollar - AU-55 - Original! -$425.00

Nice original AU 1831 O-108 bust half. As can be seen by the contrasting toning on each side, the coin sat with one side facing down for many, many years. It is doubtful that it has ever been cleaned or messed with, unlike most examples found today. Purchased from an old accumulation, it was one of only two bust halves in that collection.
