Awhile ago, I saw a thread where someone mentioned that they wished the large coin shows would post a "virtual bourse"
so that those who could not physically attend the coin show could still get the experience and see the show. I tried it out
and many seemed to enjoy it.

So, I again took some pics of my coins at Long Beach this week so that those of you who can't come and visit us
at Table #448 this week could still see them. I have many coins that just haven't made it to my website or eBay that I
bring to the shows, so this also might help me sell some items that you may not have known I had for sale. I also took
a few pics of some of Jay Robinson's coins as I share a table with him (forum member bigjpst).

I had to make the photos very large so that you could see the coins, sorry you will likely have to scroll the page to see
them. The large photos also make the file sizes very large so it make take a minute to fully load. Also, since I was
taking quick shots of dozens of coins at once with my camera, not all coins are lit well and not all of the pics show the
beautifully toned coins well. And for some reason some of the pics from my camera phone just came out really dark.

Hope some of you who can't attend the Long Beach show like seeing the coins this way image Let me know what you think...
and of course let me know if you're interested in anything. Would be happy to provide better photos of any of the coins
as well.

I took the pics during the day on Thursday so some of them have since been sold. The final pic in the set are some of
my new purchases at the show. Enjoy...

They look better on your website with your superior photography, but the coin show snapshots are fun!

I think this is a very clever idea. I enjoyed looking at your coins spread out int he case. Indeed, it sort of made me feel that I was at the show! image

Super idea. If there was a coin that someone was interested in they could request a close up photo. I did not see anything for me.

Random questions - were you putting together a 1909 proof set to go with your mint set, or just coincidental that you had a 1909 25c in PR67?

Second - in the section showing the doilies, there are 3 2014 Silver Eagles... did PCGS offer a promo to do doily holders again or am I just confused? (Been out of things for the last year or so, trying to get caught up).

Really nice of you to post these for those of us who couldn't make the show!

    Hi Fred,

At one time I had thought about putting together the 1909 proof set as well... ended up not doing so as I knew the 1909 VDB cent would be a significant expense in the grade that I would want. Plus, with so many of them being hoarded in recent years, I felt they were just overpriced and didn't want to be forced to get buried in one of them just to build a set. So the 1909 25c in PCGS PR67CAM that I have now is just a coincidence, but each time I look at the coin it gets me thinking about maybe building that set image

The 2014 Silver Eagles in the "doily" label holders are obviously not original doily holders. PCGS did not offer any promos to it's regular customers, but it seems that one of the major dealers was able to get PCGS to reissue this newer style doily label as an exclusive to them. I've seen it pretty much on silver eagles only and on all dates. When they first came out, they sold for pretty high prices as the collectors weren't really sure what they were. Today, the holders carry little to no premium and I mostly just have them to show people the difference between the original holders and the new reissues. I think I have the set of 3 priced at $100 for all 3.

    Glad you liked the post!

At the show, I had around 150 sample slabs at my table... given how much the tables at Long Beach cost, those had to stay behind the table in boxes as I needed the cases for more valuable items. They were available to sample collectors who asked though and several did. Sold probably 30-35 of them at the show which was more than I expected image

Here's a few cool samples that I have that just went up on eBay this evening... auctions starting at 99 cents and ending in a week image
