Bought this for its eye appeal and earlier date variety.
Heritage description: Salzburg. Paris von Lodron Taler 1622 MS64 NGC, KM61, Dav-3497. At first glance, this specimen displays evenly-toned cabinet patination; however, upon rotation the surfaces completely transform with iridescent hues of turquoise, copper, and gold that reside within the protected areas and illuminate the boldly-struck design features. An altogether captivating example that delivers exceptional visual allure, as well as a near-Gem technical quality. Scarce in all regards.
