Fake slab alert: Orr RC & Wilt RC

Wow, obvious counterfeit labels. The font is wrong on these fake BCCG flips (examine closely compared with a good BCCG flip and you can see it). Also, it appears cracked open and resealed. Plastic doesn't appear to even have the correct shape. Cards are reprints. Reported, but I doubt ebay removes these. What a crook.

Beware:

fake Orr RC

fake Wilt RC

BCCG 8 is supposed to say "Excellent or Better," isn't it?

Absolutely. Maybe if enough reports come in they will end the listings.

There protech mini slabs. They snap togeather and are not sealed like regular Psa slabs.

I liked the first two benefits listed on the Protech slab website:
      * Prevents potential fraud by exhibiting tampering to the one-way locking tabs* Self stick "high-tack" label is included to not only identify your card, but also again to deter fraud and card switching
And there you have it - these holders obviously deter fraud!

Additionally, the fakes in the OP only have printing on front of the flip. They didn't bother to put the Beckett logo on back with the web address.

Yep, not really that great deterring fraud but they are nice little slabs. I used them to slab my 1994 Pro Line auto set. The sticker labels they came with, that go on the outside of the slab are crap so I made my own.

Love the Sharpe auto. He's my favorite football player. Was contemplating starting a PC of him. Had many of his cards when I was younger.

Yeah he was a great player. Too bad his career was cut short.

Excuse my naivety but I didn't think the general public could buy slabs like this. I may want to get a bunch of these for my non-registry items. I see these are on eBay but does anyone know if they will hold sketch or patch cards?

    Isn't $3 each a bit pricey?

The minislabs snap together to seal the card in the slab. No welder is required which is why anyone can use these. They only fit regular sized cards as far as thickness goes. Also, they only cost $1.00 per slab on the Pro Tech website although it says they are sold out.
