There happens to be a 1978 Crack World Cup Card Album out on Mercardolibre.com so I stole some pics. It has 2 very early Maradona cards. Unfortunately usually glued into the albums so paper loss almost always on these:
Here is his first card. Almost impossible to find. Kinda looks like a pog. It's a 1977 Argentinos Juniors:
Below is a 1978 Argentinos Juniors card. Be careful to make sure you buy the correct one as the image on this card was re-used many times on cards that look similar but were issued a year or 2 later including a few of the Maradonas found in the 1979 Super Futbol cards set.

Correct. In case anyone here is interested, here is a link to a page I keep bookmarked that shows you all the 1979 cards so you don't get confused:

<< <i>It was difficult to convince psa to slab these. I had to develops a checklist from images of the albums on foreign sites. After a few tries I eventually got them slabbed. I'm still trying to get the 1980 Deportistas set slabbed. (Let me know if anyone has any info) here are the maradona cards
I might need your help as I think I may have PO'd the G.O.D. with my recent renewal sub. I sent in the 1978 Charactiture Maradona same as from that CRACK album in the OP above which makes me think why my sub is way past due for poppage. Also added to that sub were somewhat rare hockey cards from Canada, Finland and Sweden. Only 1 from the this 1980 Canada Junior league set ever graded (I sent in 2 separate players from that set), a 1989 Swedish card with 3 of the card ever graded, a 1983 Swedish card, and a Finland card with 3 ever graded as well among others off the beaten path.
I do apologize, Mr. G.O.D. Please don't be too harsh because of the extra legwork!
