This is by far the scarcest Philadelphia mint type 1 gold dollar and a great choice for a type set representative since the premium for this is modest compared to a generic date. The population for PCGS and NGC in MS62/higher is 174/224. The pops for the other dates are as follows:

1854- 1854/1497
This is an all original, never messed with coin, with frosty luster and minimal marks for the grade.
