A story that must be shared. Captainthreeput!!

Just wanted to share this with other collectors. It's a real short and simple story . Brian ( Captainthreeput) sent me about a 100 1970 commons to help me build my set After I went through them and told him what I needed he told me " just keep them and use the extras to trade with to help build your set". He gave me one direction... " pay it forward"... Which I will do.
A big thanks to Captainthreeput !!!

Scott ... That does not surprise me one bit. Earlier this year I spoke with Brian about something outside of collecting, as I thought he might be able to get it for me at a better price. Well, less than a week later I received it in the mail ... and he would not take payment for it. Brian, it was nice to see that your generosity with the 1970 cards went to one of the Good Guys on the board. Scott, don't forget about that '52 Mantle that I have been wanting!! lol. Enjoy the cards.
    STAY HEALTHY!

    Doug

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Great gesture!! I'm always amazed when i come across a post/thread like this; heck, i'm lucky if I can even get replies to my pm's let alone get something for free from another member!!

In over eight years on here, nobody's sent me anything for free, not even a flaming bag of dog poop, or even better (worse?), a steaming pile of dog poop in a bubble mailer!!

He is a great guy. Met him a few years back for the first time and he sold me a bunch of beautiful 57 Topps for about a buck apiece.

Many years back Brian sent me a '35 Hinkle without payment. He allowed me to take a look at it with the naked eye and then even discounted the card from his original price. Great guy!!!
