I thought there was a previous thread but couldn't find it.

Anyhoo...

Has anyone on here bought any of these 5 x 7 sets and were they happy with it? There are red bordered (#'d to 10), gold (49) and black (199).

I've been buying the red and gold sets. I think it may take a while before they're worth anything, so I'm just going to put them away.

I saw those. Are they exact replicas of the topps cards, just larger? Or are they different?

Frank Robinson got released today. I don't collect them but I have followed them just to see what resale value would be for flipping purposes. They look like exact replicas except embedded in a red, gold or black border. It will be interesting to see what Mantle's set will bring on the secondary market.

I think eventually it will make sense to have the cards slabbed, and fortunately, they'll fit into the oversized cases.
