    For me, primarily intellectual curiosity. I look for distinguishable letters, length, numbers (for sports I know - baseball and hockey). Then I Google my guess and compare the signature. The other day, you had one that I thought looked like Tim Kerr, but it didn't really match as he typically takes the last r and underscores his name. As a Flyers fan, I would have wanted that one.

    When I see a new group, there are usually 2 or 3 that i'll give a shot at and will spend maybe two to fifteen minutes per signature guessing and looking them up.

    I don't think it is Carol Alt. Doesn't even look close, though it could be a secretarial of some sort. I see the first name on that one as Carl anyway.
