Which ebay sniping service is the most reliable?

Second question:

Is there any reason I can't use 2 different sniping services for the same item in case 1 does not submit a bid in time?

Gavelsnipe works great for me. No failures or other troubles, so I've never had reason to log the same item number into two snipe programs.

Auctionsniper is good too but no reason to pay them when other sites let you do it for free.

  • There are 3-4 that people use that are all 99.99999% effective. Don't sweat the worst-case scenario.

    I use Gavelsnipe as well.

Myibidder has worked great for me. I think there was only 1 failure in several thousand snipes and it was due to eBay mucking stuff up that day.

I've used Gavelsnipe and it has worked great for me. I have had maybe 3 missed snipes out of well over a thousand (maybe thousands of) snipes.

Another vote for Gavelsnipe -- no issues on 100-200 snipes.

Gixen has worked great. Basic level is free, have only heard good things about it. For a $6/year fee, you have access to their "mirror service", which will use multiple servers on their side if one goes down at time of bidding.

I used to use eSnipe, which works fine, but they charge fees. I would guess you could set up dual snipes, but can't say I've tried that myself.

    Goofbid ... it's free.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    +1

I can't recommend Gixen enough. It's never failed me, outside of eBay change related that impacted all sniping platforms, and I love having the peace of mind with the mirror service.
