Carlos Correa Topps Autograph Deal $1mill+????

http://www.beckett.com/news/2015/08/carlos-correa-signs-exclusive-deal-with-topps/

Topps is giving a RC, who plays in Houston, over a Million $'s just for an autograph only deal? Sure seems like a lot. $1 Million in merchandise alone would be a lot of sales.

In looking at the young players out there today if you had to buy some modern cards who would bet on as far as cards appreciating the most out of Correa, Trout, or Bryant long term. Figure all cards in 9.5 grade, and tight now Correa sells for $450, Bryant for $400-435, and a Trout for $2000.
  • Miguel Sano is putting up better numbers than Correa right now. I'd pick up a few Sano's.

I still don't understand why so many people leave Harper off the list when they talk about young talented players to invest in. Harper is younger then both Bryant and Trout and only 2 years older then Correa, plus Harper's cards are fairly reasonable in price.

The deal is just for autographs (signed bats, posters, balls, etc) since Topps already is the only MLB licensed brand for 2015 they already had the exclusive on his MLB licensed autographed cards.

Bobby .. I agree 100% with you on this. I am a METS fan, but also like Harper. Right now Harper is:

#1 in the NL in AVERAGE, RUNS SCORED, OBP, SLG % and OPS

    #2 in Walks

    #3 in HRs

    #8 in RBIs

A million is an awful lot of money for such a very young player. Wow
