NFL HOF RC Registry Question

What would your guess be on what card will be used as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady's RC used for the set?

My guess would be 1998 SP /2000 for Manning and 2000 SP /1250 for Brady.

Thoughts or guesses?

  • Oh wow, didn't even know that existed. Thanks so much!
  • I assume PSA determines the cards used for the registry sets. I will pick up some of the lock HOF'ers, but may hesitate on some of them in case they don't get it. Some of the newer cards are actually pretty cheap even in PSA 10 grade.
  • Also, after looking at the list, any idea why some are the base card and some are the refractor? Print run perhaps?

They are actually voted on by the registry members. It is always the best non auto non memorabilia card of the player with a print run of 1000 or more. Most recently cards 1993-2000 have been Sp or Sp Authentic with 2001- current being Topps Chrome. There are exceptions like Himes Ward, Tony Romo and others.

  • So even if the cards aren't individually numbered (topps chrome refractor, for example) someone has determined the print run to be 1000 or higher?
