He sells them as PAPERWEIGHTS and lists metal as "base metal". No intend to defraud imo. >>
Maybe that is not his intent, to defraud. But, it still remains illegal without COPY or REPLICA stamped into the coin. He may be honest but I do worry about who is buying these....Bet we see them back up on ebay within a month.

Since the seller is in Lithuania, I do not believe it is illegal to not have copy, etc. I do not believe our law reaches that far.
Now importing them into the US in another story, but if they went to a buyer in Germany, what is the issue.
I do not support counterfeits, just responding to the illegal comment.

they are illegal and an ebay violation nonetheless and as much as i appreciate your positive approach, assuming intent is egregious and futile here.

Those ASEs would be contemporary counterfeits and illegal in China as well.
It's interesting the eBay took action on fake gold:
<< <i>For several years, scam artists ordered fake gold products on eBay, but the auctioning giant recently cracked down on the practice. >>
Fake Morgan
<< <i>Not hard to find replica U.S. coins for cheap. Here's a website selling 1889 Morgans for $1.30/each.
