Very cool. Thanks for sharing these. For someone who wasn't around in the early 70s and doesn't collect unopened, there's a lot of stuff here I hadn't seen before. I like the note to the retailer in the 73 box.

Love those rack boxes, David! What is product cide on 73 box? I'm assuming the box would have to be different/deeper to accommodate the higher card count.

Just wanted to add a pack/box that's a bit harder to find.

      1968 Topps Game Insert Cards

The cards are all mint in box - but centering on many leaves something to be desired.

Dave - thank you for taking my request image

I knew that others would appreciate getting to see items they never get to see, and none of the drool from IPads and computer monitors will get on to your cards and boxes! Seeing photos like this is great for the hobby since it allows people to see what they may want to collect. It don't know it is out there. Awesome stuff to say the least.

That does not the usual mold. Most people start when they are 8 so they usually go forward that many years and load up when they get older. You should have a ton of mid 50's stuff!

That 71 OPC wax box is amazing, Jim!

One of the tougher boxes to track down, as these were produced in much smaller quantities than standard 79 cellos~a 79 super cello box:

Many of you know I'm also an avid collector of wax trays. Here is my run from 1974 through 1978:

Topps used two different wrapper variations in 1974. This was also the last year of this particular tray backing. Did anyone ever send away for the Exploding Battleship?

75, my favorite year from the 70s..

      image

      image

76 tray with 74 wrapper variation, which Topps reused that year. The way to tell if a tray is a 74 or a 76 is to check the cardboard tray backing which was different each year, and the pack price, which was 10c in 74.

79 wax tray box, complete with counter display carton, which is very tough to find.

      image

Although technically not a wax tray, the one-year "wax rack" experiment employed by Topps in 1980 is one of my favorites, too.

I'm working on reorganizing stuff in the back - all the good stuff goes in a couple of safes.

I found some of these buried with newer wax - 81-84T wax and 2 82D wax. The 83T cello has a Ryno showing. From BBCEx rip last year.

Great job getting into into the idea of this thread everyone! If you have something that has not been posted yet, please consider posting

I started with the 1970s. I'm away from home right now so I cant take additional pictures yet, but here's a "teaser" for the 1960s (which I have
been posted in other threads before, but it belongs in this thread too).
