LOL Whoops bought the "right" wrong card

So i'm on 4sc's site a few days ago while i have a min at work and saw a 1975 Topps George Gervin PSA 10. I think to myself that's a great price for a PSA 10 HOF rookie card! either the price is wrong or it's criminally undervalued!

I click "buy" and go back to my work and forget about it until yesterday and researched it to confirm that this was his 2nd year card! Whoops! Confused that I knew there was one big rookie in 75 (moses malone).

So card is shipped already and on the way. it's a Pop 4, so still a pretty rare second year card of a HOF'er but lol, should have slowed down a bit first. I do think mid 70s bkball is undervalued, so i don't mind having it, but...

I made a similar mistake about 15 years ago. Thought I was buying the Ray Bourque rookie and bought the second year card. Woops!

Here are pictures of the two (not my cards). Similar image. Rookie mistake.

Take heart that you are not the only person to do that particular "Woops" buy where Bourque is concerned image

Is Bourque wearing clown makeup in his rookie photo?

I bought what I thought was an insanely cheap Elway rookie from four sharp corners one very late night. I had just came home and had a few to drink but I was looking at an 86 Elway and somehow thought I was getting the cheapest PSA 8 1984 Elway ever. Of course after I bought it I realized my error but too late!

i know what u guys are talking about....but i have seen second year cards with the term rookie HOF card in the title...and almost bought them except the price was way too good for a psa 9 or ten rookie.....they were either mislabeled by some big card sellers that we all know or it was intentional, maybe....prob a mistake but as always buyer beware
Interested in higher grade vintage cards. Aren't we all. image
