Rough cut on 1957 topps?

I was just wondering is this rough cut on the 1957 topps normal? Would this bring the grade down?

I've seen it on pretty much every year of vintage Topps. Most of the time it does not impact grade (like OPC), but some graders seem to deduct for it. There are plenty of Topps in PSA8 or better with some rough cut including a 56 Mantle in the August pickups thread IIRC.

There are some PSA 9 examples on eBay with cuts similar or worse than the one on Brooks pictured. Kinda like it myself image

edit to add link of one, not my card, just first one I saw LOL : PSA 9

I've gotten very picky on my PSA 9's, but for some reason, I like the rough cut. hate to say it, but might even bid more for it.

    Collecting PSA 9's from 1970-1977. Raw 9's from 72-77. Raw 10's from '78-'83.
Collecting Unopened from '72-'83; mostly BBCE certified boxes/cases/racks.
    Prefer to buy in bulk.
