    Yikes!

Looks like that's a new record for that card in a BRGS 9! The market is getting better, start buying BRGS guys. Lol

I love the grandmaster b avatar

I can see a lawsuit coming on this one. Not because they are a grading company, but because they are trying to create in the consumers mind some confusion as to what company they are. It would be like someone making an exact copy of a Ford Mustang and putting a different logo on it. You cannot make a counterfeit of the PSA case and copy the color and design and sell it as their own. Should be interesting.

    Mint 9 TR (trimmed) ?
  • Surprised it's not called "P5A" grading
  • BigMKBigMK Posts: 93 ✭✭
I agree with the above poster in regard to a lawsuit. I don't think you can use another company's likeness like this and put your own name on it.
  • BLUEJAYWAYBLUEJAYWAY Posts: 7,939 ✭✭✭✭✭
Sure is alot of room from that top inner tab to the right vertical side edge of the card. Agree there may be a dustup over the likeness of that flip with the PSA one.

Just ran that BRGS cert number against the PSA Cert Verification to see what would come up. Cert number 18082921 does not match anything in the PSA database.
  • SdubSdub Posts: 736 ✭✭✭
This is a joke right? This company can't be real. I mean, the label is exactly the same as PSA. Are they looking for a fight?
    Collecting PSA 9's from 1970-1977. Raw 9's from 72-77. Raw 10's from '78-'83.
Collecting Unopened from '72-'83; mostly BBCE certified boxes/cases/racks.
    Prefer to buy in bulk.

Not sure how they will be able to stay in business with a label exactly like PSA.

I got bad news looking at his completed sales for who's buying those cards...... There FAKE! Real pro slabs have the word PRO on the slab not on the paper on the back. He's making fake pro labels and putting fake cards in the slab.

I feel sick to my stomach now..... Look at his feedback.... ALL THOSE BASEMENT SLABBED CARDS ARE BOGUS! image

Did he have any other auctions going on?? It looks like he does not currently have anything else for sale??

He must be using different size labels?? That 54 Ted Williams that he sold only shows the red border at the top.

You can bet that every card not in a PSA or SGC slab is fake. Looks like a $4,000 + scam.

To their credit, at least they had an actual slab vs. a screwdown with a piece of masking tape they scribbled their "company" name and a grade on... which is only a small exaggeration beyond what some of these "companies" tried. =/

Looks a lot like the old Arrowhead Holder.

I met Alan Hager in 1992 and he gave me this holder - these are a really nice way to preserve your highlighted raw card(s) so it's easier to handle them.

    Here's the "original Patent."

I was more worried about the missing upper right corner, but if it had a chance to cross to a PSA9 would be a heck of a deal.
