Box Rip

Looking for a winter project to do with my boys. I was thinking of ripping either 1981 fleer baseball or 1984 OPC baseball. Something to get the kids interested in cards, something that brings me back to childhood and maybe worth more than I pay in 20 years. What do you think? Maybe another year to bust?

I'd go with '84 OPC over '81 Fleer. '81 Fleer is pretty rough - blurry photos, pretty unimaginative design.

Better chance of getting the kids interested by busting something that will actual have players they have heard of. Buy them something modern, and yourself something old. Bust both boxes together.

<< <i>Winter is football season. 89 Score or 84 Topps. >>
Assuming he's looking for $50-100 boxes (based on initial mentions), FB in that category is going to be more like 88T cello, 87T Wax, or 82F IA. You think everyone's rich, Matt?

Hahaha! If you're gonna do it, do it right!
I must say, I like the 87 topps suggestion. Herschel Walker, Randall Cunningham, Doug Flutie and Jim Kelly. Good stuff.

+1
I have busted modern and 80's with my son. He had far more fun ripping the box with players he sees on tv now.
<< <i>Planning ahead for winter😄. Agree, a modern box and probably the 84OPC. I would like the 87 topps football. We are more of a baseball family than a football family. Yes, price range is $50-100 per box. I could search eBay, but what is a good priced modern box with star power? >>
BB - Bowman Chrome (2015 Hobby ~$60/box or HTA Jumbo for ~$125)
FB - don't know this year, last year of Topps FB license so there will probably be a ton of product and it will end up cheap at some point, perhaps Panini?
