Centering on the back of a card

How important is it to collectors about the centering on the back of a graded card? Am I being too picky about this. Please give your opinions.

In general, I'm pretty picky, but there are some issues that it's impossible to get the front/back both centered perfectly on the same card. I would say for most collectors, back centering is usually very low on their priority list of card attributes to be concerned about and the grading standards reflect this.

Back centering is pretty low on my list. Unless it is horrible like 90/10 etc.

If the obverse is 50/50 - I can live with whatever the back looks like as long as it isn't miscut or 99/1.

This. As long as the back is clean otherwise, I dont care.

Very , very low to the point of not caring. I don't display the backs of cards image

Depends on the grade. I'm not interested in a PSA 10 that has terrible centering on the back that is visually distracting, but the lower the grade, the greater the tolerance. Same general concept as centering on front, but would live with a worse percentage on back than front for the grade.

I have seen cards in PSA holders with MC qualifiers where the front looked like great centering but the back was way way off.

To me back centering isn't important unless print is missing. So I'm okay with 90/10 centering.

It's important to me. I would never buy a 1973 Clemente without seeing a scan of the back for example.

Thanksguys, i really appreciate your views on the matter! I myself am very picky about the backs and was wondering if i should "lighten up" when it comes to that.

I am in the not too concerned camp. Centering was never huge for me and really, when I'm looking trough cards, it's mostly the fronts that I'm looking at.

I also don't have centering on the back of the card high on the list of concerns. I would use it as a tie breaker if I am looking at two examples of the same card in similar condition. Otherwise as long as the back isn't 99/1 I am willing to ignore it.

Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

    If it isn't miscut, I don't care
