I thought this was an interesting list. The number at the beginning of each line is where the player's salary stands overall.

    I see Kershaw as really the only HOFer on that list? Maybe just maybe Wright or Cano but most likely not.

    If you have the time to spend sifting through the salary list, I bet you could assemble a better starting lineup with equivalent number of players where all their salaries together would total the average single player salary in the list in the OP.

    That list is a pretty good argument against paying players to be the highest paid at their position. In most instances, you are paying for past performances vs future return. With the influx of uber talented, very young players it will be interesting how this list plays out in a few years after guys like Trout, Harper, Machado, Goldschmidt and potentially Correia and Bryant sign their mega contracts.
