First card purchase since the early 90's ...

Picked this up last week. This has always been my favorite Gehrig card ever produced. #37 comes really close but it's always been this one for me.

I hope to reacquire a few of the 8 Gehrig & Ruth Goudeys that I used to own that helped me pay for college.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to pick them up at $400-$800 a piece like back then.

Great card old flip to boot! Why so long between purchases?

$400-$800 ? If we had only known and skipped the modern RC junk. Nice card.

Nothing like returning to the hobby with a classic card. Well done and welcome back.

Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

Not complaining, but just life in general. College, house, wife, kids, other hobbies.

    Thanks for the welcome.

jmb-----I love your 1934 Goudey Gehrig! It's very clean, without a mark on it. I think you did great, and for what it's worth, I also favor the #61 Gehrig over the #37. Here's wishing you a hearty welcome back, and a slow but steady re-purchasing of your long-gone Gehrig and Ruth Goudeys. Thank you for sharing with us. ---Indiana Jones (Brian Powell)

Didn't anticipate finding another eye appealing Gehrig so soon, but this just got delivered. The grader must have been in a bad mood the day this came across the table.

HOLY CRAP! Really like the first one posted above but this is, in my opinion, one of the all-time most beautiful cards ever produced. This is a fantastic example. Congrats! That is one of the nicest 4's i've seen. Show the back.
