It's the 15th of the month

I was lucky enough to have my Mattingly "Hit Man" avatar replaced by the infamous penny. How can I change it back since it is the 15th of the month? My efforts to search for a previous thread about this were unsuccessful.

Thanks for the info.

Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

click Profile / at the bottom:

Select the author icon you wish to use:
  • I believe that he would like to upload his own.

Normally, you can do that on the 15th.

Because the 15th falls on a weekend this month, it is not available. Usually the option is open on the first business day after the 15th, so Monday the 17th. Check back then mid-morning and you should be able to do it.

As nascar stated, go to profile, scroll down, then wade through the "Great Avatar Sea" until you find the image. It helps if you remember the file name since they go in alphanumeric order.

The 15th only applies to new files you wish to upload and has nothing to do with files previously uploaded.
  • Hi everyone,

Just an FYI - the avatar/author icon feature is on today. It will be turned off by early tomorrow morning.

If I were technologically efficient, this would be my new avatar. But alas, it would take me months to figure out how to change mine.

dberk, I cleaned up the image and enlarged it a bit. If you want to use this one, save the file then upload it to cu via profile tab.

  • Hi everyone,

I have found that the author icon feature is acting up. The setting is "on" to allow you to upload new images via the Profile section, but it seems to appear and disappear sporadically for some. If anyone else has experienced this issue, I apologize. I will have our IT group look into this further next week.
