Does PSA grade or encapsulate newspaper clippings?

I found this newspaper clipping, not sure of the date of the paper, but thought it would look cool in a PSA slab. Anyone submit something like this? Would this have to go in under the "personalized trading card encapsulation" service?

I believe the Ryan clipping is owned by begsu1013.

He wasn't their mascot. The chicken became so popular that he would show up to special events, sports and non-sports.

    Agreed.

Matt - the Bulls have had Benny the Bull as their mascot since '69, the Chicken was making a guest appearance. Kind of strange though, being Oct 1984 with the Cubs sadly losing the NLCS to the SD Padres just a few weeks before he made this appearance, I hope the fans booed the Chicken image

Anyways, to get clarification I called CS and was told that newspaper is too thin to slab and would probably not hold up well to encapsulation. I asked about the green holder where you can slab any "homemade" cards or personal photo's, but got the previous answer. Oh well, I'll find a nice frame for it.

Yep, he bought it from me a ways back. Still a cool piece.

yes, i still have her and kinda glad they quit grading her honestly. agree 100% w/ psa's position that it's not a card...

which should only leave 5 that will ever be encapsulated.

love the early shot of ryan and the maloney, "alibi ike", knee story on the back and how he supposedly got the "kink"...

and that it caused him to just throw "wild"

Thanks Matt! I appreciate the well thought out response.

Btw, 1976, I am fully aware of who the San Diego Chicken is. I just didn't put two and two together being that it is strange for the San Diego chicken to be in Chicago, at a Bulls game.

I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings? You must be the life of the party with your obvious great personality, your vast knowledge of chickens and your wealth of useless information.

    Congratulations!
