Furry Rice

Finally pulled a good rookie card from a pack today, and the top corners are furry. What a shame. I suppose it's not even worth submitting. Bottom left corner is a little soft, and the print defect of the top jagged white lines is quite pronounced on this one.

Congrats on the pull. Must still be fun to see that card looking at you when you slide the card above it past. It's a nice card, I actually don't think the stripe or the furry corners would be a big detriment to the overall grade. The TB centering is probably what technically knocks the grade down the most although with this card I think a little TB OC is not bad for overall look of the card. Yours is a good example of this card looking good even with a little OC vertically.

you'd want to submit with a no qual, without that i'd be afraid you could end up with an 8(oc)

Go for it and send it in. Just think if it was a Walter Payton or a Joe Namath it would fly to PSA. As a few more years go by, the Rice will be in the same caliber.

Better than a furry brownie.

I once ate a "brownie on the bottom" sunday from an ice cream shop. When I got to the brownie, I noticed it tasted funny. So, I scraped the ice cream away and saw that the browie was covered with green, furry mold. I became quite ill lol.

Best part about it though, the girl that made it for me ended up being my wife. At least I got something good from that ice cream shop haha.

I was eating a glazed cinnamon raisin coffee roll in my car from 7-11. Had about half of it down when I saw one of the raisins moving. It was a fly. ALL the "raisins" we're flies. It was only a glazed cinnamon coffee roll.

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. I just mailed off a few cards, but didn't include the furry Rice. I just don't see the upside to doing that yet. The fur and the TB off-center don't seem worth it to me, but for the $17, I probably should have just sent it anyway. Maybe next time. I did send in 3 really nice low POP cards from the pack though.

I'm also enjoying where this thread is going. Great food stories.
