1849 Open Wreath Gold Dollar G$1 NGC MS62- First Year Type 1**REDUCED**

This is a very handsome looking example of this first year, type 1 gold dollar. It has a great strike, especially on the reverse, wonderful luster and color, and very few marks for the grade. It does have a tiny light toning spot or water stain at 5:00 on the obverse, that probably accounts for the grade. The obverse has a few luster grazes but the reverse would likely grade a 64 or 65. It is gorgeous! This coin was purchased several years ago from David Lawrence as the sticker indicates.
