I am going with fake....no specific reason other than the color just doesnt look right compared to authentic ones
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

I think it may be real.
The top left and right black borders overlap (they don't connect at a perfect 90 degree angle).
The Yankee logo black border is not completely filled in.
The border around Mickey mantle's name is rough and kind of "bumpy".

A while back I learned about this website:
    Bbcemporium.com
They basically tell you everything I just said (and more) about the 52 topps mantle.

But the best way to see if it's real is to send it in!
Let us know if you have it graded.

That really doesn't mean all that much because it's very easy to find fakes/reprints on ebay that have all of those same qualities.
  • Highly fake

    grab a phone charger first!

as for the card, ask for a pic under a black light. if it glows it's fake. and ya can pretty much do that w/ any card pre '56, I think.

    it's a wonderful lil trick.
