1772-1774 1/2D

Here are 3 for my 1770-1807 half penny set I got and didn't have time to post. I wanted a better 1772 example but the 1772 are harder to find. At End of the month Im getting the 1771 and 1770 (on hold) and I will have the complete set.

Very nice coffeyce, I've been working on that set for quite a few years. There are some of the no stops varieties that I'm not even sure exist though.

Neat. Are you going to continue with the halfpennies on up into oh, say... Victoria? Or further back, to the earlier Georges, perhaps?

I will have the 1770-1807 1/2D completed 1 Sep. (almost all are between AU58-MS64) got all raw but 2.

I've got the 1838-1901 1/2D mostly completed missing the scarce ones and a few stragglers. (27 coins)

Ive got some of the 1838-1901 1D (20 coins)

I only have one pre-1770 and that's the 1752 (graded AU58) I got raw only because it was a early bird cheap auction and the seller took horrible pictures

I think I wont go back before 1770 because of the cost but who knows. I don't like after 1901 so wont get those either. ive thought about maybe doing the farthing set.

Very nice coins, Chris. I like collecting the farthings myself. I pick up 1/2d and 1d when I can usually in bulk lots and try to pull out a few nice VF and couple of XF coins if I am lucky. Your collection is really taking on a nice shape. Keep posting pics! If you get ambitious, try a group shot to see all of them together. Too hard to go back through all of your old threads.

    Thanks for the comments.

I got lucky and the seller agreed to a trade so I got my 1770 early.

That 1770 is a nice addition. Nice overall look of the group so far.
