Help needed on review sub, should i try?

My two cents....
Most half point bumps are for exceptional centering. The T/B (as displayed, R/L when viewed horizontally) is far enough off, I don't think it gets a bump.

DGordo, It might not be a bad idea to send the card to PSA and reholder and get a nice new flip. That card would pop!

Agreed! That old style flip with the ugly fonts would drive me crazy. New holder with hologram flip may also bring a premium if you ever decide to sell it down the road.

I would keep cracking this one until it came back a 9. If you don't have the cajones, I understand.

Positives are color...registration...top to bottom centering when viewed horizontally as well as exceptional centering on the back of card...and sharp corners
Negatives are the side to side centering as well as the print dots to right of Koosman's neck.

Overall... I would say that it stays an 8.

Slight tilt and centering keeps it from bumping.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If it was mine, I'd have a go at it. Worse it comes back as is and get a new style flip.
But I wouldn't pop it and shoot it in raw. Too many horror stories out there.

My most recent bump story- I had a voucher for three free grades for reaching 90% on my 63 Topps set. I studied the cards for a week to pull out my best three. At the last minute I realized I had a voucher for five free 67 grades. I spent ten minutes picking those. I went 0 for 3 on the 63s, but was 3 for 5 on the 67s-including one 8 to a 9. Moral of the story-you can over think these things.
