<< <i>First it's a pop 2 I'm sure he knew that when he listed it has a pop 1 >>
Never let facts get in the way of a good listing.
If the pop changes during the duration of the auction is this a sufficient remedy?
<< <i>the 78 ryan went for $18K back in april. similar scenario here, so I will guess something around this fig. however, in the end we never really know....

The Ryan is a pop 2 of 2,130 submitted. The Rose is a pop 2 of 1,078 submitted.
My guess is this caps out at $12K.
Whenever I advertised "POP 1" I always put in the description that "At the time of this listing the POP of this card is 1" just in case another pops during the listing.
Did the card become a pop 2 in the past few weeks?

100% however I know for a fact that the 78 ryan probably had a ton more cracks and resubmits. when it comes to popular players and extremely low pops, I pretty much throw the pop report out the window...
i've probably submitted 20 of those 78 ryan's myself still coming back 9's d@mn it!

<< <i>At the very least, a note should be added informing bidders that card is not a pop 1. That would take 30 seconds to do to correct the listing. >>
They added this a few hours ago. "There was a delay in the psa database, this card is actually a pop2 , not a pop1"
I personally think in a case like this pulling the auction and relisting would be the appropriate thing to do. Anyone buying a card like this should go check the pop report but some might not and since Probstein rarely if ever uses descriptions most won't scroll down far enough to see the edit. Sometimes cards that are graded at shows take a little time to hit the pop reports but I know of two cases from the National this year where they hit the next day.
is just laziness in my eyes..
