Gibson's Steakhouse across from Natty

I saw a group of guys are meeting at Gibson's Steakhouse at the Naionals.
Do not miss that dinner. I am there right now and the food is amazing.
Hope to meet some of you tomorrow or Friday

It is a great place and the desserts are humongous. I have a reservation Saturday pm and I am taking 6-7 folks there with us to celebrate the National. After that I will hit the front desk for some chocolate chip cookies and milk. Gotta love this time of the year.

Do you walk through a bar area before you enter the actual restaurant? My wife and I ate at a steakhouse that right was right near the convention center and I believe it was this place.

I entered directly from the lobby of the Doubletree Hotel. You walk past the bar (it's on the left) to get into the actual restaurant.

The OP sent me a PM. It is the same place. When we were entering some dude that was trashed was getting escorted out by a friend to go puke. Haha.

We looked for a few places to eat that night and struck out so when we ordered our eyes were bigger then our stomachs. Steak, lobster, appetizers and drinks. It was great.

I'm there right now - will let you know how it is.

UPDATE: Gibsons is a solid choice. It maybe a little pricey but not outrageous for big city dining. The steaks were great and the crab cakes were good and "meaty", you can't go wrong there.

Eaten there both days now. Tasty tasty. Used to hit the other location in town whenever I visited friends and this branch is just as solid.

I ate there again tonight. After I ordered, and was waiting for my food, three people came in and were escorted to the table right next to me. It was Jack O'Callahan and I believe his wife, along with The Captain, Mike Eruzione, both men from the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team image I was just a fly on the wall. Nothing serious, just a few interesting anecdotes heard.

It was a pleasure meeting you and others Brian.

I spent a lot of time talking with many of you - I've met so many, I don't want to leave anyone out - let's just say that you're a great bunch of guys and I'm happy I got to meet you all this year.
