was reading a thread on another board and was surprised to find the amount of folks that bashed the 88 topps design.
with production run and lack of value aside...
what's everyone else's thoughts simply on design?

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

would agree. was not a fan of the 87 and subsequently 62 either.
just a lil bland w/ lack of color for my tastes.
edit: really digging #200 boggs card.
The set would have been much more palatable had they started the 1st round draft pick cards that year. Griffey and Biggio would have been decent additions.
I've donated several monster boxes full to charity over the years.

Ditto... that rip hurt. What hurt worse was the submission. I was hunting for a GEM Ripken, but most came back 8s with a couple 9s.
