Wow, that sucks--I had no idea he was a collector; this is the first time I've heard Roberino's name and baseball cards mentioned in the same sentence.
Hope the thieves aren't makin' a copy of the card as we speak
<< <i>I'm curious where they get the 175k value from? Is that what he paid for it? Was it graded? >>
I was wondering the exact same thing; if they're putting that kind of value on it it must be graded, unless they're figuring it at "book" value in "gem mint" lol.
TMZ isn't exactly the most reputable source, so I would take the $175k figure with a grain of NaCl. Btw, I knew Schneider was a collector; I used to see him at Wolffer's auctions in the early '90s.

<< <i>Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't $175K pocket change to him ? >>
He's supposedly worth 15 mil so probably yes.

all it takes is one carpet cleaner, maintenance man, one friend of a friend that simply came over or 10 years of sunlight.
does sound phishy that his wife didn't have her engagement ring on, but hey my wife isn't super organized either...
hope his insurance is in place and he's "making copies".
Other sites are posting ones thats a bit OC.

That sucks. Hope he gets it back and the thief or thieves caught.
