For any collector on this forum with interest in German States, you should read the following. All German auction firms and coin dealers are urgently raising the red flag and sending out communications to fight this legislation. Do we have any German nationals who can provide more indepth analysis of the potential impact on the hobby?

I saw this being mentioned by several of my European dealers, as well as the American firm CNG.

It seems to be a German policy to expand the scope of the existing laws that cover historic items. Like most political initiatives in the collectibles arena, it was written by people that have no clue of the market which they wish to regulate, the scope of the law is unnecessarily broad, and the average small-time collectors are likely to be the most hurt.
