Nascar trading cards?

I stumbled upon a large box of racing cards from the early to mid 90's in a storage unit purchase, Maxx, Wheels, Upper Deck, Ultra...you get the idea. I know nothing about this side of the hobby nor do I have much interest but I was curious if this stuff had any value? I recognize Earnhardt, Gordon and a few others but outside of that I have no heartbeat. Before I assume that early 90's racing is like all the rest of the cardboard hobby from that era I thought I'd throw it out to you all before I start my next bonfire.
Do they even publish a reference guide for racing card values? There are probably a couple thousand examples that appear to be in pack fresh condition.

Beckett stopped making the monthly one a few years back...I think they only have the "big book" now. Nascar is similar to baseball in terms of overprinting with little interest in the early 90s. There are exceptions, but Earnhart had as many cards made as Jordan, so you have some with value and others not

What? No retirement fund? I figured as much. Wow if Beckett no longer publishes a Monthly then there must be very little demand. Thanks for securing my assumption.

8 or 10 bucks will get you a short term subscription to beckett's online racing pricing guide.

1990 was the last good year for NASCAR cards. After that, many manufacturers entered the market and ran the printing presses 24/7.
I would love to see a scan or two of these cards.
  • i got a new 2015 Beckett Nascar price guide cards/diecast. So i could get a ideal what prices they post, as i was looking to sell off many items. When i compared the diecast to Ebays 'sold' prices they are totally way off. Seems like Nascar stuff is rock bottom, since the Earnhardt death i guess. I got 3 multi-signed programs on Ebay, and not a single hit. Hate to know what my cards be sitting for decades.
I have to bite the bullet and keep a smile.

I was hoping I could salvage something and make a few bucks on the Earnhardt or Gordon cards. I guess I could try a driver lot on ebay and hope for the best. Are there any other drivers that have collectability or any possible value that I may have a shot at moving? Again early to mid 90's. I did find a set of benchwarmers in the box...oh yeah!
