1972 Pirates Team Card

Has anybody ever noticed that a large percentage of the print run of this card has a pink printing dot above the "P" in Pirates? This is the kind of variation that means nothing to me, but it seems to qualify as a variation as much as the 1971 cards with blobs or white circles. it only matters to me because my nice copy has it, and I want to know whether I'll get penalized for it, or like other "variations", I won't.

I would call it a recurring print defect. I doubt it would ever be officially classified as a variation( which usually, but not always involves some intentional change in a card by the manufacturer), but there is a core group of collectors who do seek out recurring print defects. This one is easy to find .

I am not a graded collector, but doubt there would be any penalty for such a print dot
