Why is someone trying to access my account here?

I received this email tonight. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Dear xxxxxxxxxx,

Someone has tried to log into your account on Sports Card Forum - Sports Cards Community with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: xxxxxxxxxx

    Do you have a significant other?

    Maybe they saw that you are receiving ”private messages” and went to investigate what you are up to.
    I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

    A little off topic to this, but my Facebook account got hacked a couple days ago. Lots of weird stuff going on around the internet lately. People were getting posts from me and it wasn't me. Crazy.
    Always looking for OPC "tape intact" baseball wax boxes, and 1984 OPC baseball PSA 10's for my set. Please PM or email me if you have any available.

    That looks to be from another Internet forum. Not this one. Doesn't say collectors universe anywhere and there are neither a "sports card forum" nor a "sports cards community" here.

    I think Dan is correct~if it were from CU, it would also be signed Forum Admin.

    Thanks for the insight everyone. This is the only forum I belong to, so I assumed it was from CU. Hopefully it is just some type of spam email.

    I got one of those too back on the 10th. The offending IP address was overseas. However, that doesn't really mean anything since proxies can be used to fake one's location.

    So, probably not spam. Someone's trying to crack sportscardforum.com accounts.
