My Post-WWII 1st Ballot HOFers

Since I just finished my 1st Ballot HOFer set, I thought I would share.
I did notice that I need to scan my Smoltz and Puckett.

Thank you for looking.

    Awesome. Totally awesome.

Congrats on the 9th spot. Top 10 is nice.

I was sitting at 9 before they changed scoring. I finished mine last week too and am sitting at 12.

    Great accomishment and sweet cards.

    ETA: both Musials...overachiever.

Any set with both Brett and Stargell is a great set!

Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed looking at those cards.

Great stuff. I really enjoyed looking through all the cards. I have been thinking of starting a HOF project but didn't want to get all of them (no offense to Gaylord Perry or Goose Gossage). The 1st ballot appeals to me because by and large you are getting the best of the best. You have some very nice cards that look great for the grade. Are you going to try and upgrade the Murray or the Banks. They are the only ones that look out of place next to all those centered cards. The Murray would be a pretty cheap and easy one to replace in an 8.

When I first started, I was collected all of the Post-WWII HOFers, but it got to be very expensive and I couldn't see spending a ton of money on players I wasn't too familiar with (especially when their cards were expensive bc of short print runs), so I sold them all to help fund the remaining 1st Ballot HOFers.

Yes, I would like to upgrade a few. After purchasing the Mantle, I'm going to be out of the buying market for a while. The Banks will be upgraded for sure, as for the Murray, I actually busted that from a pack during one of our group rips a couple years ago. So, even if I upgrade, I'm still going to keep it. I'd also like to upgrade the Frank Robinson.
