1985 Topps Gooden Record Breaker

So a non forum friend is trying to acquire a PSA 10 of this card. This is his fave from childhood. He has been on a quest acquire as many 9's as possible. While I love this card, I don't get why the price point of this card is where it is.

Anyone have an opinion on paying top dollar for 9's form 4sc?

    Total: 21 graded; 3 PSA 10's,12 PSA 9's

    They don't seem particularly rare, looking a the grading cost for a single card and the cost for one.....include the misses that you'd have for a PSA 10. $24 at the least would be reasonable.

    So your friend is the reason why I can't find one of those! Great pic on that card. Hoping to find a nice one at the National.
