Modern box question - 2010 Bowman Chrome Harper

I'm stuck in the 1970's and 80's for my collecting habit, but in an effort to bring my 8 year-old son into the wonderful world of baseball cards I want to buy some modern boxes to rip. Being 5 miles from DC, I want to go after some Bryce Harper cards but I want to make sure I buy the right product since there seems to be so many brands of cards out nowadays. I think I like the 2010 Bowman Chrome (18 & under USA) card but I don't know if it is in the Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects boxes or regular Bowman Chrome or something else altogether? Also, what other products would folks recommend for early Harper cards? Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction in the hopes of adding a new member into collecting world.

The 2010 Bowman Chrome Bryce Harper cards are in REGULAR 2010 Bowman. NOT Chrome and NOT DP&P. I know, it's confusing and makes little to no sense but that's how it is.

BBCpedia is a great site that will show you what cards come in what product, as well as odds and things of that nature. Best of luck if you decide to rip some 2010 Bowman!

  • Thank you, Arthur! Man, this modern stuff is hard to wrap your head around. I'm not an auto guy so the newer stuff never really appealed to me but some of it is shiny and nice. Guess it is the plunge I have to take to keep my son interested in the current players though.

That was the last baseball box that I cracked since I'm a fb/bk guy. Pulled a Harper refractor but wasn't excited about it because he wasn't good when they were released. I got the rush though when he got hot and I went back through it!
