New Book- Bust Dime- Variety Identification Guide
VERY EXCITING NEWS!
At the Chicago ANA, Winston Zack, Louis Scuderi and Michael Sherrill authored a brand new Bust Dime book – Bust Dime – Variety Identification Guide.
This 5x8 spiral bound guide provides very detailed descriptions of all Bust Dimes from 1792 to 1837 including color photographs for all die marriages to assist in attributing any Bust Dime by die marriage.
There is a detailed year by year description for each die marriage so you can determine the rarity, cuds and die states of your coins.
This 140+ page manual lists rarity ratings and known proofs for each die marriage. In addition, the authors have estimated the population of known Bust Dimes by year.
Another very exciting feature is the foreword from John McCloskey, one of the authors of Early United States Dimes 1796-1837, that has become the bible for Bust Dime collectors and dealers and an Appreciation by Q. David Bowers.
Currently, the guide is at the printer and will be available at the ANA John Reich Club Meeting on Wednesday morning, August 12th. The book will be available at the ANA (details to follow) and after the ANA it will be offered by the following dealers - Rich Uhrich Rare Coins, Americana Rare Coins (Glenn Holsonbake), David Kahn Rare Coins, Inc. and Davd Wnuck. The retail price for the book is $49.
This guide will be a cherry pickers dream. Attached are sample pages from this guide for your viewing pleasure.

I also look forward to meeting all those individuals who contributed their efforts during the creation of this excellent book at the ANA! The layout, text and images are wonderfully "user friendly" - and "bourse ready" for those who want that perfect 5" x 8" size to carry.
Congratulations everyone.
Enjoyed numismatic conversations with Eric P. Newman, Dave Akers, Jules Reiver, David Davis, Russ Logan, John McCloskey, Kirk Gorman, W. David Perkins...
