New member here........hi all
I'm hoping someone could help identify the # written in the stitching of this Jeter autographed baseball. I just want to know what the # stands for. Is it a serial # for a COA or was the # written on the ball to identify it to a certain game???? I purchased this from a gentleman that said this was a steiner coa on the ball. I wasn't sure but I ended up buying it anyway. Autograph looks like an early Jeter autograph. I have many early Jeter autographed baseball cards so it looks authentic to me. The # is in the 2nd picture under Gene A Budig. To me the # on the ball is.......

I'm guessing the 97 means 1997 which would verify its an early Jeter autograph. Any help or comments that can help me with this ball will be greatly appreciated. I've searched online and can't find any info so I'm turning to the professionals .
