Random purchase - Low Mintage 1957 Max Planck 2 Mark

Random purchase which I bought to see this one in hand - modern yet interesting look with a mere mintage of 370 pieces in Proof. 1957-J West Germany 2 Mark PCGS PR64 DCAM. KM-116. Max Planck commemorative. Hamburg, (J), mint. Will likely sell but this is my way of learning more about coins outside my area of collecting.

Sometimes the greatest opportunities to buy coins is when you least expect it... well played. I would not be in a hurry to part with this one

Anytime! The January show is around the corner. Hope to see you and our forum friends.
Max is looking a little stoic. Simple, effective, and typical of these German pieces. I hope that little spot below the eye is not green -- hard to tell from the images.
