for my Red Sox Nation friends...1955 Topps players

I just finished putting together the 21 players from the 1955 Topps. Having put 4 complete sets together in the past, I thought this itch would be scratched with just the Red Sox guys. I was very fortunate to obtain cards that were virtually free of any blemishes, especially in the black square surrounding the Red Sox logo...many have print flaws here, even in PSA 8s. Put these together in all PSA 7.

Hope you enjoy.

I'm nowhere near being a part of the Red Sox Nation (Go Yanks!) but could probably still be a friend in baseball.

However, I absolutely admire the collection you've shown.

Really was a classy looking card that year. image

Tks Sparky...attached is a pic of the entire 55T set...once rated at #16, I think 10-12 short of a straight PSA 8 set.

In case you're wondering, 3rd row far right is just a Red Sox logo card I placed there. The yellow thing in the upper left is the biggest piece of my beloved 1973 corvette after a truck hit me. I almost made it to the angels that morning...pure luck I'm still here. The flash is a bummer, but you can still see the glory of all these beautiful 55T cards when displayed like this. I also got the 4 players not originally issued in 1955 and had them graded...Musial, Ford, Feller and Score. I got lucky when I was figuring out how big/small to make the case, just worked out nicely that 15 cards across times 14 rows equaled 210...perfect. Enjoy the pic.

Yeah, Red Sox having a very tough year. So much hope with such talent seeming to fizzle. Yankees are on fire and should continue to do well. Red Sox season is over IMO.

Beautiful PSA 7 examples, Ive seen you post that wall set up before and each time I always think how awesome it presents.

Nice stuff AL! Which one was the toughest to get? The Agganis or Consolo? I thought I read that both were very tough

    Hey Paul !!

The Agganis was the last one I picked up from a guy in North Carolina...Agganis is kinda special to me, I was just a kid when they announced on the radio that he had died. 25 years old and gone.

Consolo came to me from Pennsylvania. Both are fairly tough to get, but it only took me about 5 months to put the group together. Williams of course the most expensive, but got it at a great price. Glad you enjoyed seeing them and the complete set...again.

What to do about these Red Sox ??? image

    Best,
    Al
